Events
The PTA is here to support the school and enhance the school experience for the students and parents. The PTA provides technology for the students, engagement opportunities for the parents, and a forum to foster communication between the school and the larger school body.

We are excited for another successful year here at PRES. Go All Stars!
Our major fundraiser for the 2025-2026 school year is again the Boosterthon Fun Run with a special Color Run for the 4th & 5th graders!
​
PRES partners with a Boosterthon provided team early fall each year to present our largest fundraiser. It's an awesome event lasting up to nine days and includes activities such as pep rallies and a fun run. During this time, Boosterthon presents an assortment of character building and fitness related activities.
Funds are raised through online pledges and students are given daily updates to keep them motivated and engaged about working together to improve the school. Our school staff, in working with the Boosterthon Team, does most of the hard work so that parents and students can focus on having fun!

Thanks for your support of the 2024 Fun Run as we raised over $57,000. We appreciate you and helping us raise funds for PRES!

SPRING FLING
May 8, 2026 | 4:00 - 7:00 PM
The “All-Star Spring Fling” is our annual spring carnival that consists of bounce houses, amusement rides, carnival games, food, and tons of fun! Spring Fling is open to the public and is a great way to bring the Pelham Road Elementary School community together!

Handfuls of volunteers are needed the day of the event to run games, rides, and booths, and to set-up and clean-up. But the work begins long before May! From making tissue paper flowers to collecting donation items for concessions, help is needed all year!
BOOK FAIR
February 9-13
Please join the PTA for our Book Fair! Browse the most popular titles while raising funds for the PRES library. Students will have an assigned time slot to purchase books during school hours.

This is a fun day for lots of outside games. The students have a great time and the parents are welcome to come see the fun.

Backpack Blessings
Upstate Backpack Blessings is a volunteer-based, donation-driven organization that now provides bags of food to 300+ students each week in 16 area elementary, middle and high schools:
Over 34,000 students in Greenville County Public Schools rely on free or reduced breakfasts and lunches while in school Monday through Friday. Students served by Upstate Backpack Blessings count on their weekend bags that they pick up on Friday afternoons as they leave school for the weekend, a critical time when they do not have access to school meals and often go without or have very little food.
We need volunteers to help handout these bags every Friday, preferably at the start of school so a child receiving a early dismissal will receive the bag of food for the weekend. The organization also is in need for food donations. They prefer nonperishable food and items that are easy for the child to make themselves.
Watch D.O.G.S
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is the father involvement initiative of the National Center for Fathering that organizes fathers and father figures in order to provide positive male role models for the students and to enhance school security.
